Please wear a face covering! For the protection of our staff and patients, you need to wear a face covering in our medical practice. Face coverings are available for you if required. Many thanks for your understanding.
HHH is a company delivering its own workshops and courses specifically for nurses and doctors. How can direct human contact be improved? How can I build up my own inner strength and stop taking stressful things home with me? The basic idea is to show the healing effect of humour in a strenuous and often irritating daily routine. Humour can help teams understand one another better, relieve pressure, improve communication with others and also help people cope better with grief and suffering.
We took part in an HHH workshop. We laughed a lot together and learned a great deal – we loved it!
Humour Helps Healing
HUMOR HILFT HEILEN
The aim of the HUMOR HILFT HEILEN [HUMOUR HELPS HEALING - HHH] charity is to promote therapeutic laughter wherever it is needed - and that is everywhere: in medicine, at work and in public.
Doctor, revue artist, presenter and author Dr. med. Eckart von Hirschhausen set up the HUMOR HILFT HEILEN (HHH) charity in 2008 to make more people laugh. The charity focuses on three areas: humour resulting from visits by clowns, humour in medical care and humour in scientific research. For more information, go to www.humorhilftheilen.de
MOVEMBER concentrates on three key themes in men’s health: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Most men do not give their health a high priority – at most when they are old or when there is a serious problem. The result? Men’s health is in crisis. On average, men die 3 years earlier than women for reasons which are largely preventable. Men deserve better in terms of their health, but this won’t happen unless we change something. We must stop men dying too young.
The MOVEMBER Foundation is leading a change in the way men look at their health and get support. MOVEMBER helps men think about their health, talk openly about problems and get better treatment when life becomes difficult. The foundation works with the very best researchers all over the world, increasing collaboration and reducing duplication.

Hot off the press
The fifth edition of our practice newspaper is now available in the waiting room and this time, is taking a look at psychosomatic illnesses. This is a subject which affects urology, too. Unresolved issues and occupational stress impact the nervous system, potentially causing, among other things pain in the urogenital area and sexual dysfunction. Take a look at our current practice newspaper for information and to find out more about psychosomatic illnesses, sensible precautions and helpful services.
A new apprentice joined us in September - a warm welcome to you, Alina! Very many congratulations from everyone at the practice! We are delighted that Shanice Plesch will continue contributing to the practice as a qualified medical assistant in future - in the office, on Reception and in consultations. Her outstanding English makes her the perfect contact for our English-speaking patients.

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
In unserer neuen Praxiszeitung. Exemplare und viele informative Broschüren liegen in unserem Wartezimmer aus.
The current issue of the practice newspaper deals with sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Bacteria, viruses and parasites are all transmitted during sexual intercourse. The number of new infections is increasing. It is perfectly normal for us, as doctors, to treat sexually transmitted infections - but there is no need to pick up an infection at all. Find out how in our new practice newspaper. There are copies of the newspaper and lots of informative brochures on display in our waiting room.
30 years in the job
In January, we celebrated 30 years' service by our Practice Manager, Sandra Wolf. Almost all our patients know her, given that she’s been in our practice (or its predecessor) for 30 years - and she’s nowhere near retirement yet! Anyway, Sandra Wolf is IRREPLACEABLE. Everyone appreciates her kind, professional manner. We celebrated Sandra’s milestone with prosecco, cake, balloons, flowers, a speech and beautifully illustrated portraits by Lea Dohle. It was a lovely party. Thank you, Sandra, for everything. We look forward to a great many more years together - and a lot more parties ...
We were evaluated by Doctena patients and we are happy about the awards.
We have been co-operating with the Marienhospital in Stuttgart since 2007. As the urological partners in the co-operation, we perform day surgery and in-patient operations at the Marienhospital. This co-operation enables us to offer all-round urological care. We also offer urological consulting services to patients of the Marienhospital.
The urologists’ network [Urologennetz Stuttgart – UNS] was set up by practising urologists to maintain and optimize high-quality out-patient care. The network involves in-service training, quality circles and events for patients (Urological Health Day).
We are members of the German Urology Society [Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie e.V.] and of the Professional Association of German Urologists [Berufsverband der Deutschen Urologen e.V.]. These organizations are dedicated to scientific topics and/or matters of professional policy and their shared website publishes valuable information for patients as well as professionals.
